Who we are
TEFLiz (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides IELTS study resources at https://tefliz.com (“Site”).

What data we collect

  • Contact data: name, email, and message when you use the contact form.
  • Newsletter data: name and email if you subscribe via Kit.
  • Technical data: IP address, device type, browser information, and pages viewed (collected automatically by our host and Google Analytics 4).
  • Purchase data: billing and transaction details if you buy digital products (handled securely by Stripe or PayPal; we do not store card details).
  • User-generated content: comments, support requests, or survey responses.

How we use your data & legal bases

  • Provide and secure the Site (logs, security, caching). Legitimate interests.
  • Respond to enquiries via forms or email. Legitimate interests.
  • Send newsletters / marketing if you opt in via Kit. Consent (you can unsubscribe any time).
  • Fulfil purchases and deliver digital products. Contract.
  • Comply with law (tax, accounting, fraud prevention). Legal obligation.
  • Analyse traffic and improve content using Google Analytics 4. Consent (via cookie banner).

Who we share data with (processors)

  • Web hosting / CDN & caching: Hostinger (with LiteSpeed caching).
  • Email service / newsletter: Kit (used to manage subscriptions and send emails).
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 via Google Site Kit (used to understand site traffic and performance; IP anonymisation enabled where possible).
  • Payments: Stripe and PayPal (process payments securely; no card details are stored by us).
    Each acts under a data-processing agreement.

International transfers

Some providers are based outside the UK / EEA (e.g., the USA). Data transfers use UK IDTA / SCCs or equivalent safeguards.

Retention

  • Enquiries: 12 months.
  • Newsletter subscriptions (Kit): until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity.
  • Purchase records (Stripe / PayPal): 6 years (for accounting and tax purposes).
  • Analytics data (Google Analytics 4): retained per Google’s defaults (currently 14 months).

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, or port your data and withdraw consent at any time.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

This Site is not intended for children under 16.
